Why are we doing this?
Yes, we know the topic of NFTs can be confusing, but we wanted to give our audience an opportunity to own an authenticated work of art inspired by the film. Plus, we felt that web3 needed some more transgressive artifacts. We’ve created 5 unique pieces that can be collected as NFTs and are planned to open up experiences for owners and to allow our supporters and fans an opportunity to own a part of the future of art.
What is Rarible?
Rarible is an NFT marketplace that allows people to create, sell, and buy ownership rights to digital works of art. Earlier this year, the marketplace launched its integration with energy-efficient, proof-of-stake blockchain Tezos.
What is Tezos?
Tezos was selected as the technology of choice for this project because it is a green NFT, using about two million times less energy than Ethereum or Bitcoin. While many popular projects are on the Ethereum chain, Tezos allows for much lower transaction ("gas") fees and environmental impact. Read more here.
What is an NFT?
NFTs are one-of-a-kind digital assets used to represent one-of-a-kind goods like collectibles and works of art.
Is this bad for the environment?
While several blockchain technologies are known to consume a significant amount of energy, the technology that we chose, Tezos, uses roughly two million times less energy than Ethereum or Bitcoin. Tezos - An Energy-Efficient Blockchain.

Yes, yes you can. Visit ScaryMerch.com to check out what's available.
We're delighted to continue developing ScaryObjects, but the future remains a mystery. We want to be open and honest with everyone who enjoys the film and these pieces of art. Artists are increasingly using a roadmap to introduce their NFTs, though our major goal is to provide high-quality, high-value collectibles from The Scary of Sixty-First. We are currently looking at new ways to enhance the experience of the NFT owners with a couple of intriguing projects in the works! Check back to this website to stay updated.
How to Buy
Step 1: Purchase Tezos (XTZ)
If don't have a Coinbase account, start by making one here. (You can use any digital currency exchange platform of your choice that supports Tezos) Check the price of each ScaryObject NFT to know how much to purchase, but don't forget to include in transaction fees. For each item, we recommend +0.1 XTZ.
Step 2: Create a Cryptocurrency wallet for yourself
If you don't already, create a Tezos wallet for yourself to hold your money for purchases and your NFTs. Temple and Kukai are two popular, and trusted choices. Unfortunately, Tezos is not supported by the Metamask wallet.
Copy your Tezos wallet address (it should be a string of characters right below your account name, like tz).
Return to your Coinbase homepage and click the 'Send / Receive' button in the top right corner. In the 'To' recipient box, put the wallet address you just copied. You input the quantity of 'Tezos' (XTZ) you want to transmit in the 'Pay with' area.
Step 3: Create an account with Rarible
Navigate to the ScaryObjects profile on Rarible, and click Sign In at the top right of the screen.
Click Beacon, then select your wallet provider (either Kukai or Temple) to validate and sign in. When you connect your wallet to the purchasing site, it will prompt you for permission.
You're all set to purchase your ScaryObjects NFTs!
Navigate to the Rarible ScaryObjects Collection.

About the film
While out apartment hunting, college pals Noelle and Addie stumble upon the deal of a lifetime: a posh duplex on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. But soon after moving in, a more sinister picture of the apartment emerges when a mysterious woman arrives and claims the property used to belong to the infamous and recently-deceased Jeffrey Epstein. With this news, Noelle becomes obsessed with the visitor—to the point of infatuation. As the pair plunge deeper into the conspiracies of the Epstein case, Addie falls into her own bizarre state: a pseudo-possession complete with inexplicable fits of age-regressed sexual mania. As they peel back on these strange occurrences, the truth reveals itself to be more twisted than they could have ever imagined.
